The BA Sennari House (Cairo) is organizing a workshop that will be taught by music teacher John Samy, a graduate of the High Institute of Arabic Music. The workshop will consist of lessons on how to play the flute, maqam exercises, lessons on the primary and secondary types of flutes, and the playing of some musical pieces.
The workshop is for ages 18 and up. Those interested in participating must register in advance and bring along their own flutes to the workshop.
