Within the framework of the activities of the International Year of Physics 2005, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing a series of lectures and activities about Radiation and Environmental Protection.
The lectures will be presented by Professor Alaadin Abdel Latif, Professor of Physics at the German University in Cairo, and Professor Mohamed El Nashai, Egyptian Professor of Physics. The course will cover mainly ionizing radiation. However, microwaves, low frequency electric and magnetic fields, lasers and ultraviolet sources are also covered to give an insight into the field of non-ionizing radiation.
