This lecture is organized by the Manuscripts Museum in collaboration with the Young People’s Library. Students will pay a visit to the Museum where they will learn the meaning and the origin of the word “manuscript”, and they will know about the beginning of writing on walls and on papyrus. They will also learn about the invention of printing, the first printed book, and the printing industry in Egypt.
The lecture will be given by Ines Badawy, a museum tour guide.
