The BA Sinnari House (Cairo) is organizing a book reading session for The Tale of Louis IX Kneeling at the Gates of Mansoura by Mohamed Shalabi Amin, Secretary Editor at al-Hilal Magazine.
The book discusses the history of Mansoura, the origin of its name, and the tale of how King Louis IX knelt at its gates and was consequently captured and held prisoner in Dar Fakhr al-Deen ibn Luqman. The book continues to describe his wife’s negotiations for his release, and it ends with his will, which reflects modern western policies that are used against Arab countries.
