The lecture will be given by journalist and writer Ramón Irigoyen, who will speak about Cavafis, as a unique poetic phenomenon, which trespassed all boundaries and entered into the fabric of the world's literature. Irigoyen will also refer to Cavafis' proficiency in embodying the spirit of cosmopolitan Alexandria, which remains a great inspiration for poets and men of letter, and how Cavafis' poems are still alive in the minds of people all over the world. Ramón Irigoyen will also present some of the critic review written on Cavafis' works
