The Arab World Committee of the International Federation of French Professors (128 countries) is organizing its first regional conference at the University of Cairo in the framework of its 100 years anniversary from 6 to 9 December 2007, and the final session will be held at the BA on December 9.
The Conference will be attended by French language teachers in Arab and other countries, the French television (TV5) and French radio (RFI), the French International Federation Director and his two deputies, representatives of international organizations, and a number of local publishing houses and foreign Ambassadors, Ministers and public figures.
The Conference addresses the relationship between the Arabic language and Francophone through three contexts:
• Cultural context
• Literal context
• Educational and Pedagogical context
