The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), in association with the Egyptian Library Association (ELA), the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI) and IFLA’s Centre for Arabic Speaking Libraries and Information Institutions at the BA, is organizing its Regional Conference on “The Role of Libraries in Freedom of Expression, Tolerance, and Access to Information”.
The Conference analyzes the role libraries play in promoting freedom of expression and tolerance, and creates a wider awareness on the activities undertaken by libraries to safeguard human rights and promote tolerance for the ‘other’.
