Under the auspices of HE Dr. Karolos Papoulias, President of the Hellenic Republic and HE Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, First Lady of Egypt and with the blessing of His Beatitude Theodoros II Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Mr. Anthony S. Papadimitriou President of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina will inaugurate the exhibition “Approaching Heaven” featuring Icons of the Velimezis Collection from the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and the Benaki Museum.
