The Center for Coptic Studies at the BA organizes a lecture entitled “Irrigation Systems and Water Disputes in the Early Coptic Period: From the 4th to the 7th Century AD.” It is held on Wednesday, 26 December 2018, at 6:00 pm, at the BA Sinnari House in Cairo, and delivered by Dr. Adel Fakhry Sadeq, Head of the Antiquities Department and Deputy Director of the Institute of Coptic Studies.
The lecture gives a historical survey of the old irrigation systems used in the early Coptic period, and the important ancient cities and villages that were wiped out due the scarcity of the Nile water.
