The BA Special Needs Programs Unit organizes a seminar entitled “Invisible Disabilities”, delivered by neuroscientist and Fibromyalgia and Chronic Stress Syndrome consultant Dr. Ayman Youssef. It is held on Tuesday, 21 February 2023, at 11:00 am, in the BACC Lecture Hall.
The seminar tackles the genetic, environmental and psychological causes and factors of fibromyalgia and chronic stress syndromes, and presents modern diagnostic and treatment models, cognitive behavioral therapy models, as well as the means of social and functional integration according to the latest research in this field. It also sheds light on the importance of the concept of invisible disabilities, and draws attention to their issues and challenges.
