The changing climate: A Lecture at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria — As part of the BA’s interest in the different arts and sciences that enrich humanity, and its efforts to revive the ancient Library of Alexandria The Center for Special Studies and Programs has structured "the Youth for Sustainable Development and Better Understanding Program". Through which the CSSP are holding a series of lectures on education, environment, and population growth. Within this context, the BA is organizing a lecture on Saturday, 1 July 2006, entitled Greenhouse Effect and Change of Climate on Earth by Dr. Salah Soliman, Professor of Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. The lecture will discuss the greenhouse phenomenon, its causes, harms, and means of prevention. These lectures aim at developing the capacities of youth, and training them on managing natural resources using scientific techniques.

The lecture will start at 17:00 hrs at the Meeting Hall, at the BA Conference Center
