Series of Seminars on Eye Formation and Eye Sight Defects

Alexandria— The Taha Hussein Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired, in cooperation with Elataa project and Roayah (Alex Vision Center), will present a series of seminars on ophthalmology and combating blindness, during the period from 2-16 August 2007.

The seminars will be given by a group of ophthalmology consultants and will address several topics, such as the eye formation, eye diseases, vision defects, and ways of correcting vision in children and adults. On Thursday, 2 August 2007, Dr. Osama Ibrahim and Dr. Ahmed El-Masry will speak in a seminar entitled "Eye Formation and Vision Defects". On Thursday, 9 August 2007, Dr. Alaa El-Zawawy and Dr. Hisham Gaber will speak in the second seminar entitled "Cornea Diseases and Eye Sight Correction". On Thursday, 16 August 2007, Dr. Osama Ibrahim, Dr. Amal Al-Sehemy, and Dr. Maha El-Basha, will speak in the third seminar entitled "Eye Diseases in Children". Dr. Maysa El-Nayal, Head of the Psychology Department, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, will chair the seminars.

The seminars will start at 14:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium.
