The BA will host the 3rd International Conference of the Arab Society for Computer Aided Architectural Design (ASCAAD) during the period from 28 to 30 November 2007. The main theme of the conference is uncovering new insights into the way of understanding and interacting with space. The conference will also highlight how virtual environments and developed techniques help students, practitioners, and researchers examine and investigate new aspects of their designs.
The aim of the conference comes in line with those of VISTA (Virtual Immersive Science and Technology Applications); one of ISIS eminent projects. On the occasion of the conference, ISIS will launch the BA model, a recent project of VISTA. The model, developed by ISIS team, is a complete tour in the BA that shows the main library building, and other details such as the Shadi Abdel Salam and Mohamed Awad exhibitions, and the Manuscripts and Antiquities museums.
