The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is holding a workshop entitled COSPAR (Committee on Space Research) on Space Astrophysics from 19 January to 1 February 2008, in cooperation with NASA and ESA Missions.
Engineer Hoda El Mikaty, Head of PSC, stated that the workshop is a unique training opportunity in the field. It is an ideal starting point for graduate students who wish to pursue M.Sc. or Ph.D. in high energy astrophysics and building strong ties with world renowned scientists and universities in the rapidly growing field of physics and astronomy.
Astrophysics is a branch of astronomy dealing with physics of the universe, including the physical characteristics of the density and chemical composition of cosmic objects, as well as their interactions. Astrophysics overlaps with several areas of science; including electromagnetic physics, particle physics, and others.
The sessions will start at 9:00 hrs at the BA Meeting Room (B).
