Creative Forum for Independent Theater Groups (Fifth Round) at the BA

The Creative Forum for Independent Theater Groups is holding its fifth round under the title (Europe - Mediterranean) at the BA from 1 to 10 February 2008, with the participation of 24 European and Mediterranean countries including Algeria, Croatia, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain.
Dr. Mahmoud Aboudoma, Head of the Programs Unit and Director of the Creative Forum, stated that this year’s Forum includes 16 theatrical performances in addition to 14 training workshops covering theater of opportunity, building a character, puppet manipulation, contact improvisation, emotional release and expressive mime, voice and masks, techniques of shadow playing. The Forum will also present the international classroom project for theater students, including 18 students from the North and South Mediterranean, as part of the cultural diversity program.
This year's Forum will publish 6 plays through a publication program entitled "First Time", translating plays from Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Slovenia and Tunisia into Arabic.
