The BA Institute for Peace Studies Announces the Opening of Registration for the Year 2008 Academic Courses

Ambassador Ali Maher, Director of the Institute for Peace Studies of the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement, hosted at the BA, announced that the registration for the second cycle of year 2008 academic courses will start on 27 May 2008 until 10 June, and added that the courses will be held in July and August.
Ambassador Ali Maher stated that the students will be given a certificate upon the completion of each course, signed by the United Nations University for Peace. He added that the Institute will offer the following courses: Culture of Peace; Human Rights and Introduction to International Law; Conflict Resolution; and Mediation and Negotiation: Theory and Practice, which is a prerequisite for the Conflict Resolution course.
Ambassador Maher stated that the courses will be given by specialized university professors from Egypt and abroad, and added that the courses will be in Arabic, except for the Peace Education course, which will be in English.
