Director of the National Library of Uzbekistan Visits the BA

Mr. Abdel Salam Amrouf, Director, National Library of Uzbekistan, accompanied by a senior delegation, will visit the BA, 3 and 4 June 2008, as a scientific and cultural landmark not only in Egypt and the Middle East, but the entire world. He will hold several meetings with directors at the Library to review the latest systems, scientific and technological methods applied in the field of cataloguing books, documents and manuscripts.
Ambassador Hagar Islambouly, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, will accompany the delegation on a tour of the Library, its affiliated exhibitions and museums, and introduce the different services offered by the BA to its members and visitors. The tour will include the Manuscript Museum, the Antiquities Museum, Culturama, the Digital Lab, the Internet Archive, VISTA, the Planetarium Science Center, and the ALEXploratorium.
