The Images of The Other on the TV Screen

The Swedish Institute in Alexandria, in collaboration with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina held a workshop on 26 and 27 May 2003 on the topic of “The Image of the Other on the TV Screen”. It was designed to exchange professional experiences across the Mediterranean on reporting about each other: European journalists about the Arabs and the Arab view of European news coverage. In this context, the workshop aims at exploring the role of television in constructing the images or stereotypes that each one of us may have about the other.
