The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is organizing this year’s “Science Festivity”, which will be held during 6–7 April 2016 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm in the BA Plaza, under the overarching theme of “Health”. The BA Science Festival offers people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to explore, discuss, and ask questions. In the process, visitors experience the pleasure of lifelong learning, whether with family, friends, or on their own.

A sports area will be erected, where science and sports will be intermixed through a workshop on the importance of playing sports and their positive impact on our health. A lecture about dealing with natural disasters will also be held, in collaboration with the United States Consulate in Alexandria, on Wednesday, 6 April at 2:00 pm.

The PSC team also plans to expand the festivity to include many public locations in Alexandria, such as clubs, malls, and parks. The festivity will also include schools located in marginalized areas where different activities will be held.

The annual “Science Festivity” targets the public in general and children in particular and is open to the public. The festivity is divided into a variety of non-traditional activities, including plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, and interactive exhibits, in addition to the always intriguing Super Science Show, in an aim to communicate science to people of all ages and backgrounds.
