“Fête de la Musique” Week

Alexandria—The BA Arts Center, in cooperation with the Alexandria Atelier, the Centre Français de Culture et de Coopération, the Goethe-Institut, and the Jesuit Cultural Center, is organizing “Fête de La Musique” week, from 21 to 26 June 2009.
The Opening is on Sunday, 21 June, with Dirk Rothbrust (Germany), Massar Egbari and Soot fel Zahma, at the BA Plaza Open Air Theater. On Monday, 22 June, Shaimaa Abdelhamid and Heba Soliman present a Flute- Piano Duo at the Centre Français de Culture et de Coopération.
The BA Orchestra presents a Chamber Music Recital on Tuesday 23 June at the Alexandria Atelier. On Wednesday, 24 June, West El Balad Band and the Orchestre National de Barbes (France), in collaboration with SOS Music Festival, play at the BA Plaza Open Air Theater.
At the Goethe-Institut, Azraq Samawy Band plays on Thursday, 25 June. “Fête de la Musique” Week ends on Friday 26 June, at the Jesuit Cultural Center with the “Hip Hop Music Day”.
