The BA Celebrates the Centennial of the Birthday of Hussein Fawzy and Emad Hamdy

Alexandria—The BA Arts Center celebrates the centennial of the birthdays of Director Hussein Fawzy (1909- 1962) and Actor Emad Hamdy (1909- 1984). Screenings of their films takes place within the activities of the 8th International Summer Festival.

On Tuesday, 14 July 2009, Tamr Henna (1957), directed by Hussein Fawzy, will be screened.

On the occasion of the centennial of the birthday of Actor Emad Hamdy, El-Souk El-Sawda (The Black Market) will be screened on Thursday, 16 July 2009, directed by Kamel El-Telmesany in 1945. Friday, 17 July 2009 features Hayat aw Mout (Life or Death), directed by Kamal El-Sheikh in 1954.

All film screenings takes place at the BACC Meeting Room (C) at 8:00 pm. They are open for public for free.
