“From Earth to the Universe” Exhibition at the BA

Alexandria—Within the activities of the International Year of Astronomy (IYA), the BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) is holding “From Earth to the Universe” Exhibition. The Exhibition displays a sample of the wide range of objects in the Universe.
The Opening of “From Earth to the Universe” takes place on 5 October 2009. It starts by a welcome speech by Engineer Hoda El-Mikaty, Director of the PSC. A lecture entitled “A Journey Through the Universe“ by Dr. Abdel Hady Beshara, Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Science Astronomy and Geophysics, will follow.
It is worth mentioning that the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) 2009 is a global endeavor initiated by the International Astronomical Union and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It aims to raise the public awareness at large, with strong emphasis on youth, on the great role of astronomy as a science.
“From Earth to the Universe” Exhibition is held at the ALEXploratorium Hall, Planetarium, and will be on display until 1 November 2009.
