United Nations Under Secretary General Gives a Lecture at the BA

Alexandria— The BA External Relations Sector hosts H.E. Ambassador Lynn Pascoe, United Nations Under Secretary General for Political Affairs, who gives a Lecture entitled “The UN: Preventing Crises and Mediating Disputes”, on Wednesday 25 November 2009.

Ambassador Pascoe was appointed at the United Nations in 2007 by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Before that, Mr. Pascoe was most recently the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, from October 2004 to February 2007. He previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the State Department in Washington, D.C., following postings as U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia and U.S. Special Negotiator for Regional Conflicts in the former Soviet Union.

The Lecture is held at the BACC Lectures Hall at 5:00 pm, and is open for public.
