The Paper Voyage Exhibition at the BA

Alexandria—The BA Antiquities Museum, in collaboration with the Istituto centrale per il restauro e la conservazione del patrimonio archivistico e librario (Central Institue for the Restoration and Conservation of Archives and Library Heritage), organizes an exhibition entitled “The Paper Voyage” from 1 to 5 December 2009.
This Exhibition displays the paper voyage through history, and its development from East to West. It also deals with different issues related to paper such as production, circulation, usage, and preservation. A workshop about paper manufacturing will also take place on the fringe lines of the Exhibition.
The Exhibition reflects the significant role played by paper as a means of communication throughout centuries. It was also considered a cultural bridge, and a source of knowledge across different civilizations.
The Paper Voyage Exhibition is held at the BACC Multipurpose Hall, and is open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
