The BA Hosts the Launch of UNEP 2010

Alexandria—Under the auspices of Engineer Maged George, Minister of State for Environmental Affairs, and General Adel Labib, Governor of Alexandria, the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) and the World Bank Public Information Center (PIC)- the BA Depository Library, organize the opening ceremony of the UNEP activities 2010 on 10 December 2009. A Seminar entitled “Biodiversity Connecting with Nature” is also held on the fringe lines of the celebration.
The Ceremony includes a short movie presenting last year’s activities, short speeches from representatives of involved organizations and the French Consulate in Alexandria, in addition to a discussion of the role of youth and Good-Will Ambassadors in the preservation of the environment.
A presentation from the Egyptian Delegation participating in the Global World and Children Conference that was held in South Korea last August will also take place.
