The “Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum” Meets at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is hosting the ‘Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum” from 3-4 March 2004. The meeting will provide for a wide-ranging exchange of views on how to strengthen relationships between Japan and the Middle East. Topics like the situation in Iraq, the socio-economic development of the Middle East and dialogue between cultures based on the current situation in the region are on the agenda.
The Egyptian delegation will be headed by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, the Japanese delegation by former Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto and the Saudi delegation by Mr. Khaled Al Kosaiby, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning.
A joint press conference will be held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on Thursday 4th March.
