International Planetarium Society Conference at the BA

The BA Planetarium Science Center (PSC) organizes the 20th International Planetarium Society Conference (IPS 2010): “Back to Alexandria, the Cradle of Astronomy”, held for the first time in Africa and the Middle East, from 26 to 30 June 2010, with the participation of around 350 scientists representing 35 different countries and 700 planetariums.
The Conference features a series of lectures acknowledging the significant role played by the Ancient Library of Alexandria in enriching different fields of science, especially astronomy.
On the fringe lines, a number of workshops related to planetariums and astronomy will be held, in addition to an international exhibition displaying the latest advances in astronomy, planetarium theatre management and technology.
