The BA Memory of Modern Egypt Project holds “He Who Abandons His Past is Lost” Exhibition from 28 November to 3 December 2010, displaying most of the tools used by Egyptians in their daily lives in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Aptly titled “He Who Abandons His Past is Lost”, the Exhibition aims to connect the new generation with their glorious past.
It exhibits a collection of different tools and equipment, including the first telephones used in Egypt, gramophones, old radios, pickups, fezzes (tarbush), old coins, street signs, and personal items, among other things. Collectors of stamps and other rare material will participate in the Exhibition.
