The High Dam in Cairo Salon

Cairo Salon TV Show, presented by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, devotes an episode on the High Dam. The first part will be aired on Channel One on Friday, 12 November 2010, at 8:30 pm.
In this episode, Serageldin hosts Diaa El-Din el-Qusi, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Irrigation and former Vice-president of the National Center for Water Research, and vice-president of the International Commission on Irrigation & Drainage; and Dr. Amani el Taweel the expert at Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies.
The episode discusses the history of the construction of the High Dam and its importance for the country, as it is considered a milestone in the 20th century and one of the largest dams in the world.
