The BA Antiquities Museum holds “Visual Arts and Restoration” Exhibition by Giuseppe Fanfoni from 16 to 27 January 2011.
Fanfoni is a Restoration Expert for the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and Professor of Projects at the National Art Institute in Rome (Istituto Statale d’Arte). In Egypt, he was professor of Methodology & Restoration Techniques at Cairo University, and founder of the Italian-Egyptian Center for Restoration and Archaeology in Helmiya.
This exhibition will enlarge the appreciation for the work of Giuseppe Fanfoni for the historical and theoretical vision accompanying it; a vision that embraces a nostalgia for the past long gone by and awareness of the rich heritage handed to us by the 20th century together with a feeling of the uncertain yet attractive future that abounds with modernity.
Painting, sculpture, interior designing, architecture, restoration, civil engineering, construction, material experimentation, designing, supporting archaeological missions are all fields in which Fanfoni spent long years of passionate and continuous dedication that bears the name “Art”.
The Exhibition is open for public at the BACC West Exhibition Hall.
