International Symposium of History and Publishing in the Languages and Countries of the Middle East

The BA Calligraphy Center holds from 26 to 29 September 2011, the fourth International Symposium of History and Publishing in the Languages and Countries of the Middle East.
 

Several eminent researchers from all over the world participate in the Symposium, themed around Arabic printing, the role of publishing in cultural communication, different techniques of heritage publishing and the publishing of minorities. The Symposium will also cover some technical perspectives
 

The Symposium will also celebrate the choice of the city of Yerevan in Armenia as the World Book Capital 2012 by dedicating a special session on publishing in Armenia.
 

On the fringe lines of the Symposium, an exhibition for digital Arab Calligraphy, and another for Armenian publishing will be held.
 

The Opening Session will be aired via the BA Webcast Service on 10:00 am on Tuesday.
