“Towards a Better Educator” Project Closes at the BA

The BA will hold the closing ceremony of “Towards a Better Educator” project, on Tuesday 9 October 2018, in the BACC Small Theatre.
The project comes within the framework of the continuous and fruitful collaborative effort between the BA, a scientific, cultural and academic center working on the dissemination of science and knowledge, the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, and Star Care Egypt, which was established by the Mercedes Benz Egypt partners to work on promoting and endorsing social services. The Egyptian Ministry of Education, as well as the Faculty of Education, Assiut University, are also partners in this project.
The project aims to implement a training program for teachers to develop their personal and life skills which complements their teaching skills, in order to enhance their communication skills with students, which will positively affect the educational process as a whole.
The project targeted public schools, specifically primary and preparatory levels, in both Alexandria and Assiut. Competitions were held between different schools, in which both teachers and students participated. The project also trained about 300 teachers from primary and preparatory levels over the last two years, and equipped 60 science clubs in 60 schools in both Alexandria and Assiut.
