World Autism Awareness Day

The BA participates in the Fifth World Autism Awareness Day, the third “Light it up Blue Campaign” on Monday, 2 April 2012.
Within this “Autism Speaks, It’s Time to Listen” initiative, the Library will be lit in blue on the occasion of the Autism Awareness Month. The BA seeks to spread awareness about autism which currently affects 1 in 110 children, and 1 in 70 boys. More than 2,000 buildings participated in the 2011 campaign, whereby worldwide beacons shed light on this global public health crisis.
