A Year in Revolutionary Cairo in the Cinema Program

Within the Eleventh International Summer Festival entitled “From Here and There” and held from 5 to 18 July 2012, the BA Cinema Program screens the documentary film Laila, Hala and Karima, a Year in Revolutionary Cairo on Thursday, 12 July 2012.
An Egyptian/ Swiss production, the film is directed by Edward Erna and Ahmed Abdel Mohsen and is 52 minutes. English dialogue with Arabic subtitles. The screening will be followed by a seminar with the Director Ahmed Abdul Mohsen.
The documentary follows three young female artists: theatre director Laila Soliman, filmmaker and artist Hala Elkoussy and choreographer Karima Mansour through a difficult year of change from January 2011 to January 2012.
The screening starts at 7:00 pm at the BA Auditorium and is open for public.
