The BA, in cooperation with AnpieMed, hosts a cultural artistic event entitled “Poetry and Colors- Nagi/ Ungaritti” on Monday, 22 October 2012.

The event celebrates two pioneer modern artists and writers, who were both born in Alexandria in the same year (1888): Egyptian Artist Mohamed Nagi, and Italian Poet Giuseppe Ungaritti.

The event features the inauguration of an exhibition displaying art pieces by the Nagis (Mohamed Nagi and his sister Efat Nagi) from the personal collections of Alexandrian Artist Esmat Dawestashy, a poetic evening reciting poems by Ungaritti, and a seminar entitled “Nagi/ Ungaritti: Inspired by the City” hosting Dawestashy, Dr. Stefano Giannini, Professor of Italian Literature, Syracuse University, and Ambassador Yousry El-Kouedi

The event is held at 6:00 at the BACC East Exhibition Hall.
