World Maritime Day

The BA Map Library holds on Monday, 22 October 2012, a celebration of the World Maritime Day entitled “The International Maritime Organization (IMO): Centennial Anniversary of the Titanic Sinking”
The celebration includes presentations by the Maritime Transport Sector; the Suez Canal Authority; the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT); the Egyptian Navigation Company (ENC); and the Yacht Club. An exhibition of nautical charts and navigation devices will be also displayed. The event will end with a sail boat show in the Mediterranean sea in front of the BA premises.
The World Maritime Day celebration start at 9:30 am at the BACC Great Hall, and is open for public.
