The Second Conference of the Arab Publishers Association

The BA hosts on 23 and 24 March 2013, the Second Conference of the Arab Publishers Association under the title “Knowledge Empowerment and Publishing Challenges”
Held in cooperation between the BA, the Ministry of Culture, and the Egyptian and the Arab Publisher Association, the Conference tackles issues related to the problems of publishing in the Arab World, authors rights, books and e-books, through several themes, namely: Media and Knowledge Empowerment; Public Libraries and the Book Industry; the Future of E-Publishing; Arab Book Fairs Industry; Freedom of Publishing; Intellectual Property Rights; and Challenges of Translation and the Publishing Industry.
Board members of the International Publishers Union, several Arab ministers of culture, writers, intellectuals, librarians and book specialists participate in the Conference.
