"Alexandria… A Beacon of Tourism and Sports" Marathon at the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will host this year the Alexandria Marathon under the title "Alexandria… A Beacon of Tourism and Sports", on 1 November 2024.
The event is organized by Alex Runners, in collaboration with the BA Women Studies and Social Transformation Program, the BA Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Alexandria Marathon is one of the most important international marathons held in Egypt, with nearly 2,000 runners, including 300 of different foreign nationalities. The event aims to shed light on the city of Alexandria and its cultural heritage. The marathon will also support community groups such as women, youth, and people with special needs.
