“The Role of Institutions in Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage” in a Seminar at the BA

The BA Cultural Outreach Sector, in cooperation with Raquda Foundation for Art and Heritage, is organizing a seminar entitled "The Role of Institutions in Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage.” The event will take place on Tuesday, 12 November 2024, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, in the BACC Delegates Hall.
The seminar will be inaugurated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, and Dr. Akatsuki Takahashi, representative of UNESCO’s Office in Cairo.
It aims to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in various fields, and highlight the role of cultural institutions, scientific organizations, and universities in achieving this goal through close collaboration with local communities.
The event will host a number of experts, academics, and entrepreneurs in the field of intangible cultural heritage, together with experts from different institutions and associations.
