Abu Serga Church… A New Documentary by the BA
Posted on
The Bibliotheca Alexandrina released the film Abu Serga Church as part of the documentary series "Aref", which explores the history of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church. The Saints were two officers in the army of the Roman Empire who secretly converted to Christianity before recognizing it as a religion of the Roman Empire in the third century, and who were later martyred.
Abu Serga Church is famous for its close association with the Holy Family during its journey to Egypt. It was one of the blessed places where the Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ, and Joseph the Carpenter had to stay during their journey.
The film can be viewed on “Aref” official website or through the "Aref" playlist on the BA official YouTube channel.
