Alexandria, 26 June 2005—The Antiquities Museum at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing an exciting cultural and educational program for youth during the summer vacation. This comes within the BA’s goals of promoting the capacities and talents of the future minds of tomorrow.
The program aims to increase the young people’s archeological and cultural awareness and creativity through several workshops supervised by archeological specialists. The children and youth will learn about the major antiquities in the Museum, and will create miniature replicas of the Museum’s artifacts using gypsum, plasticine, glass and mosaic. The works of the young participants will then be displayed in an exhibition at the end of the summer.
