Astronomy lecture at the BA

Alexandria, 9 August 2005—The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing a scientific lecture, Wednesday, 10 August, at the Planetarium Scientific Center (PSC), entitled “From Alexandria to Darb El-Tibana”. It is one among a series of summer lectures on astronomy given by the astronomer, Omar Fikry.
The lecture takes the participants on a journey around the solar system enlightening them with the elements in the universe including the moon, the planets, comets, stars and the different types and names of the astral cluster.
The lecture is highlighted by astronomical photographs captured using telescopes from well-known space trips.
The lecture begins at 2:00 pm in the Listen and Discover Auditorium at the Exploratorium.
