We strongly condemn the recent bombings in Dahab and Rafah, and offer our deep condolences to the families of those who were murdered and our heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.
Killing innocent people, targeting tourists and causing injuries, are against all religious and human values, and are rightly considered criminal activities by all legal systems in all countries. Such actions are in no way compatible with Egyptian or Arab traditions.
We call for reason, fraternity and peace. Together with partners all over the world, we can build bridges of trust and security and pool our efforts to create a better world; a world in which the poor are no longer hungry and the sick no longer in pain, a world of open learning opportunities, a world where all live together in comfort and peace. This will never be possible without the promotion of a culture of peace worldwide.
