Renewal of Advisory Committees at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA)

Alexandria — the BA is in the process of renewing the membership of the nine Specialized Advisory Committees. These committees aim at promoting the artistic, cultural and scientific role of the BA through the participation of its members in drafting the strategies and programs of the library. Dr. Mohsen Youssef, Director of the Dialogue Forum Center chairs the specialized committees. The membership will be for one year only to increase the participation of intellectuals and scholars from different fields. The committees meet four times annually at the BA. The meetings this year started in June 2006 and will continue until May 2007. It is worth noting that the general meeting of the Advisory Committees will be held on Thursday and Friday, 13 and 14 July 2006.
