Introducing Arabic Manuscripts to Young Peoples’ at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Alexandria — the BA Manuscripts Center in cooperation with the Young Peoples’ Library is organizing activities for young people aiming at introducing Arabic Heritage to them through manuscripts. In this context, the center is organizing a lecture entitled Arabic Manuscripts including a presentation on the history of Arabic manuscripts, a brief on Arabic heritage, and Arab’s contribution to the history of science. The lecture will be followed by a visit to the Manuscripts Museum for young people to practically review what was explained theoretically in the lecture. The event will be held on Wednesday 16 August and Wednesday, 23 August 2006.
The lecture will start at 12:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium.
