Alexandria— The Planetarium Science Center (PSC) will organize on Monday, 14 May2007 a lecture entitled "A Close Encounter with the Red Planet". The lecture is a virtual journey to the Red Planet to explore its geology, atmosphere, and moons. The lecture also presents the images and discoveries achieved by NASA's Mars Exploration Rovers that currently roam the surface of the Red Planet.

The PSC will organize on Monday, 14 May 2007, a second lecture entitled "A Photo Album of Saturn". The lecture is a virtual space exploration of Saturn, its rings, and its large family of moons; and presents many of the recent exquisite images of the planet Saturn, and its moons, relayed by the Cassini spacecraft. The Cassini spacecraft has been orbiting Saturn, since July 2004. Cassini has taken numerous images of Saturn and made many startling discoveries that changed our view of the ringed giant planet.

The two lectures will be given by Ayman Ibrahim, Astronomer, PSC, and will start at 12:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium.
