The BA Hosts Dialogue among People and Cultures in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Areas Conference, 19-21 January 2008

The Institute for Peace Studies (IPS) of the Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement (SMWIPM), hosted at the BA will organize the third Conference on the Dialogue among People and Cultures in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Areas at the BA from 19 to 21 January 2008.
Ambassador Ali Maher, Director of the IPS, stated that the IPS was selected to host the third edition of Dialogue among People and Cultures in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Areas Conference from 19 to 21 January 2008, in appreciation of the role played by Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, Chairperson of the IPS Board of Trustees in disseminating the culture of peace and in founding the first movement in the Middle East enhancing the role of women in peace-making. He added that the first and second Conferences and Cultural Workshops on the Dialogue among People and Cultures in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Areas were held in Paris in September 2006 and in Seville in June 2007 respectively.
Ambassador Ali Maher stated that prominent personalities, decision makers, experts, intellectuals, civil society representatives, members of the business, community, and media personnel will be attending this Conference.
