“Climate Change and its Effect on Egypt” in a Seminar at the BA

The BA Dialogue Forum is organizing a seminar on Saturday, 22 March 2008, entitled “Climate Change and its Effect on Egypt” by Dr. Abeer El Shakweer, Deputy Director, Center for Future Studies, Egyptian Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center and chaired by Mona Gamal Eldin, Professor of Environmental Health, Alexandria University.
The seminar will address the threats imposed by climate change in the world, especially in topics such as glaciers, marine and land biodiversity, and archaeological sites. It will also discuss the effects of climate change in Egypt, most important of which the impact of snow melting in polar regions and the increase water levels in the Mediterranean and Red Sea.
It is worth mentioning that the Dialogue Forum holds two seminars monthly tackling different areas of knowledge and science, and hosting senior Arab and Egyptian officials, intellectuals, and scientists.
The seminar will start at 19:00 hrs at the BA Conference Center, Small Theater.
