“Sunken Antiquities” a Lecture at the BA

The BA is organizing a lecture on Monday, 24 March 2008, entitled “Sunken Antiquities” by Dr. Emad Khalil, Lecturer in Maritime Archaeology, Greco-Roman Archaeology Department, Faculty of Arts, University of Alexandria and Research Fellow at the Centre for Maritime Archaeology, School of Humanities, University of Southampton, United Kingdom.
The lecture will cover a number of basic concepts related to sunken antiquities and their relation to some modern branches of archaeology, as well as characteristics of some sunken archaeological sites, especially sunken ships.
The lecture will start at 13:00 hrs at the BA Auditorium.
