The Institute for Peace Studies Signs a Cooperation Agreement with John Hopkins University

Alexandria— The Institute for Peace Studies, affiliated to Suzanne Mubarak Women’s International Peace Movement, hosted at the BA, signed a cooperation agreement with John Hopkins University on Wednesday, 28 May 2008.

Ambassador Ali Maher, Director of the Institute for Peace Studies, signed the agreement with Dr. Mohamed Mattar, Executive Director of The Protection Project at The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Ambassador Ali Maher said that the agreement stipulated that both parties should coordinate their activities to serve their common objectives of spreading peace, respecting human rights, and supporting cooperation and dialogue among peoples, in accordance with the UN Charter.

He added that the agreement will open new horizons for scientific activities, international events, joint research between the John Hopkins University and the Institute for Peace Studies.
